Steve Curry first became fascinated with drums when a brother-in-law introduced him to the snare drum when he was just five years old. He started private lessons in the fourth grade and by age eleven, he was studying with legendary jazz drummer Vinnie Ruggiero. At sixteen, he began playing professionally in his hometown of Rochester, New York.
